How long does a panel upgrade take?

Do I need a 200 amp service?
Not always. A home with electric heat, an EV charger, a hot tub, or a big addition often does, while a smaller home may be fine at 100 or 150. We calculate your actual load and recommend the honest right size instead of automatically selling the biggest panel.
Is an old fuse box or Federal Pacific panel dangerous?
It can be. Fuse boxes are usually just undersized for a modern home, but certain older breaker panels, like Federal Pacific and Zinsco, have a known history of failing to trip. If you have one, it is worth having us look at it and talk through your options.
Do you pull the permit for a panel upgrade?
